- Stable container traffic handled in the first
quarter of 2022 from Eurokai terminals

- The German Eurogate terminals handled almost two
million teu (-5.0%) and the Italian ones of Contship Italia 429 thousand
teu (+0.6%)

 In the first quarter of this year the port terminals that make
head of the German group Eurokai have enlivened a traffic of the
containers of 3.12 million teu, with a slight increase in
+0.3% on the first three months of 2021, growth that was
generated by the significant increase in the volume of traffic handled by the
group terminals in Morocco, Cyprus and Russia, while traffic
enlivened in Italian ports recorded a slight increase in
+0.6% and that totaled in German ports marked a decline in
-5,0%.-
- In particular, in Germany, where the overall figure is
state of 1.99 million teu handled by the terminals of Eurogate,
the 50:50 joint venture between Eurokai and compatriot BLG Logistics,
if the volumes handled in the deep-sea harbour of Wilhelmshaven
showed a strong progression of +45.0% having been equal
to 195 thousand teu, traffic in the ports of Bremerhaven and Hamburg has
accused a decisive contraction having been equal respectively to
1.23 million and 567 thousand teu.

- In Italy, where the activity is operated by the
Contship Italia which is 66.6% owned by Eurokai and
33.4% from Eurogate, the total traffic was 429 thousand teu,
of which 305 thousand enlivened in the port of La Spezia (+1.3%), 75 thousand in
that of Salerno (-5.9%) and 49 thousand in the port of Ravenna (+7.6%).

- In the first three months of 2022 the other terminals of the group
Eurokai have enlivened 703 thousand teu, with a progression of the
+18.6% recorded despite the loss of volumes for Eurokai
enlivened in the port of Lisbon by the terminalista company
Liscont, from which at the end of last year the German group is
exited having sold 16.34% of the capital of the Portuguese company
to the majority shareholder Yilport Iberia of the Turkish group
Yildirim. In the first quarter of this year the traffic enlivened
in the Moroccan port of Tanger Med was equal to 605 thousand teu
(+22.9%), that enlivened in the Cypriot port of Limassol at 92 thousand
teu (-0.5%) and total traffic in the Russian port of Fspt-Luga a
6 thousand teu (-25.2%).

- Communicating the data of the volumes moved by the terminals in the first
three months of 2022, Eurokai specified that in the period the
revenues of the Italian Contship Italia have increased significantly
compared to the first quarter of last year and the German group
believes that the Italian investee will close the entire
2022 financial year with a profit higher than that recorded last year
year.
