- New quarter with record financial results for the group

- In the period April-June the volumes of cargo transported
from the container fleet have decreased by -7.4%
-
In the second quarter of this year, for the third quarter
consecutively, the Danish shipowning group A.P. Møller-Mærsk
recorded a new historical record of quarterly revenues having
totaled a value of 21.65 billion dollars, with a
increase of +52.1% on the second quarter of 2021. The new peak
historical was determined by the new record of revenues
generated by the Ocean division that groups the activities of
containerized maritime transport that constitute the core
business of the Danish group. In the second quarter of 2022, in fact,
the turnover of the divisions amounted to 17.41 billion
dollars, a value that represents a growth of +57.3% on the same
period and the new maximum value ever recorded by the group, record
that Maersk breaks quarter after quarter since the last period
quarterly of 2020.-
- In the second quarter of this year the group marked new
record values also in relation to the gross operating margin that
is attested to 10,34 billion dollars (+103.9%), to the profit
operating amounted to $8.99 billion
(+120.1%), and net profit which totalled 8.62 billion
dollars (+130.1%). Also the EBITDA and EBIT of the division alone
Ocean have reached record values being equal results
respectively to 9,60 billion (+118.1%) and 8,53 billion dollars
(+138,2%).

- In the second quarter of 2022 cargo volumes
containerised vehicles transported by the group's ships were found to be
equal to 3.10 million 40' containers (feu), with a decrease -
the fourth consecutive quarter - by -7.4% on the corresponding
last year period. If the trend of the volumes of goods on board
is down, while the rapid growth in value continues
of sea freight which has been in place since the second quarter of
2020 coinciding with the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in
all over the world: in the period April-June of this year the value
of average freight was $4,983/feu, with a
increase of +64.0% on the same period of 2021. It also continues
the increase in the cost of fuel in the last five quarters:
in the period April-June of this year the average price of the bunker is
result of 827 dollars/ton (+74.1%), while consumption of
fuel were down by -2.7% having been
used 2.65 million tons.

- As of June 30, the group's container ship fleet was
consisting of 731 ships, of which 318 are owned and 413 are owned
rental, for a total load capacity of 4.28
millions of 20' containers (teu).

- In the second quarter of this year the activities
the group's logistics companies generated revenues of €3.50 billion
of dollars (2.17 billion in the same period of 2021), an EBITDA
of 337 million (216 million) and an operating profit of 234 million
dollars (153 million).

- Terminal activities, on the other hand, generated revenues
$1.12 billion ($969 million), EBITDA of $400
million (370 million) and an EBIT of 316 million (302 million). Maersk
announced that in the second quarter of this year the volumes of
containerized cargo handled from the group's terminals have
recorded an increase of +1.5%.

- In the second quarter of 2022, towing activities and
the group's other maritime services achieved revenues of equal
to $579 million ($529 million), EBITDA of $81 million ($95 million)
million) and an operating profit of 16 million (64 million).
