
The terminal operator group PSA Corporation, through its subsidiary
PSA Vietnam has signed an agreement with Vietnam's Lach Huyen
International Logistics & Industrial Park (LHF) to invest
in the Lach Huyen Port Investment Joint Stock Company (LHP) with the
purpose of building and managing a container terminal equipped with
four deep-water docks in Lach Hyuen Harbor, Haiphong,
in the northern region of Vietnam.
The new terminal will have a traffic capacity
of containers equal to 4.5 million TEUs per year. According to the
plans, the construction of the first two quays should begin
by the end of this year to be completed in 2028, while the
two more are expected to be completed by 2035. The terminal
will cover areas for a total of over 146 meters and will have
a total quay line of up to 1,800 meters.
