La HHLA (Hamburger Hafen und Logistik), operatore terminalistico di Amburgo, ha trasformato un incremento del 2% dei volumi containerizzati in un incremento del 10,3% dei ricavi nel primo trimestre, dato che le divisioni logistica dei trasporti e immobiliare della società hanno compensato un "ambiente di mercato problematico".

"Nel contesto di un ambiente di mercato problematico, i ricavi ed i risultati operativi sono aumentati in modo notevole nei primi tre mesi unitamente agli ulteriori miglioramenti della redditività" afferma la società in una informativa.

I risultati produttivi dei contenitori si sono incrementati leggermente, per lo più a causa dell'integrazione del terminal HHLA TK in Estonia l'anno scorso, ma gli 1,9 milioni di TEU sono stati solo marginalmente in aumento rispetto al corrispondente trimestre dell'anno scorso.

I tre terminal container di Amburgo hanno mostrato una tendenza leggermente verso il basso, con un decremento su base annua dei volumi produttivi dell'1,3% per 1,7 milioni di TEU, si legge nei dati sugli utili della HHLA.

Ciò è stato dovuto a cambiamenti nei servizi, in particolare all'aggiunta di diversi servizi alla volta del Nord America ed alla perdita di un servizio nell'Asia-Europa.

Sono stati sviluppati traffici feeder sulle rotte della regione del Baltico ma nel complesso essi sono rimasti stagnanti allo stesso livello dell'anno scorso.

Tuttavia, un incremento del 13,7% dei volumi nel suo segmento intermodale sino a 398.000 TEU ha contribuito a far salire i ricavi complessivi a 347,6 milioni di euro ed i profitti al netto delle imposte sono stati in aumento del 16,9% sino a 38,4 milioni di euro nel trimestre.

L'acquisizione di carri containerizzati ed il reperimento di gru da deposito ed equipaggiamento su larga scala per il trasporto orizzontale presso i terminal container della HHLA nel porto di Amburgo hanno rappresentato una importante quota di spesa capitale nel primo trimestre del 2019, che è aumentata sino a 35,4 milioni di euro da 21,4 milioni di euro rispetto al corrispondente trimestre dell'anno scorso.

La HHLA afferma di aspettarsi un significativo aumento dei propri risultati operativi in ordine all'intera annata.

"I risultati conseguiti nel primo trimestre assicurano una solida base per farci raggiungere il nostro orientamento per l'anno in corso" ha dichiarato la presidente Angela Tizrath.
