- Stable traffic of goods enlivened by the port of
Marseille Fos in the first semester
-
- Recovery of +283% of passengers of regular lines. The
cruise passengers are half as high as the pre-pandemic level
-
In the first six months of this year the port of Marseille Fos has
handled 38 million tonnes of goods, volume similar to
that of the first half of 2021 and which benefited from a
increase in the traffic of miscellaneous goods which compensated for a
bending of solid bulk, while liquid bulk, which
constitute the largest share of the loads
moved by the airport French, they remained stable.-
- In particular, in the first half of 2022 miscellaneous goods,
with more than 11 million tons, they scored a
growth of +5%, with only one container traffic that, with almost
800 thousand teu enlivened (+5%), marked the new historical record
semiannual. In the liquid bulk sector the total figure is
status of more than 21 million tons, or the same amount
of the first half of 2021, and recorded a decisive
decrease (-18%) in the volumes of refined petroleum products
offset by the increase (+24%) in liquefied natural gas. The
solid bulk decreased by -8% to less than six
million tons.
-
- In the passenger segment, in the first six months of this year the
890 thousand people enlivened represent a recovery of +283% on the
corresponding period of 2021 determined, as well as from the end
restrictions on travel to Corsica, including from
reopening, after two years, of the Algerian borders. In particular, the
passengers of regular lines, with 480 thousand units, have
marked an increase of +109% compared to the first half of the
2021, but also a growth of +21% compared to the first half of the
2019. Traffic alone with Corsica, equal to 272 thousand passengers, has
recorded growth of +35% and +11% respectively, while the lines
regular international trains to and from the Maghreb, with 208 thousand passengers,
have totaled increases of +635% on the first half of the
2021 and +38% on the first half of 2019. Even though
concerns cruises, in the first six months of this year passengers
were 410 thousand, half compared to the same period of
2019.
