- In the first quarter of this year the traffic of goods in the
Port of Augsburg decreased by -15.2%
-
- Both liquid bulk (-13.9%) and dry bulk decreased
(-40,7%)

In the first three months of 2022 the port of Augsburg recorded,
for the third consecutive quarter, a decline in traffic
goods having handled 5.7 million tons of cargoes,
volume representing a decrease of -15.2% on the first
quarter of 2021 as well as a decrease of -9.6% on the first
quarter of 2020 when the effects were still not very relevant
of the Covid-19 pandemic on port traffic and with a growth
by +20.1% on the first quarter of 2019 when this impact was
completely absent.-
- In the first quarter of this year the only bulk traffic
liquid, which makes up almost the entire flow of
goods passing through the Sicilian port of call, is piled up
to 5.5 million tons, with a reduction of -13.9% on the
same period of 2021, with a contraction of -9.5% on the
corresponding period of 2020 and with an increase of +22.4% on
first quarter of 2019. In this commodity sector traffic
of crude oil amounted to 2.0 million tonnes
(respectively +41.6%, -6.3% and +10.8%), that of products
refined oil to 3.1 million tons (-31.2%, -15.6% and
+28.8%), traffic in oil gaseous, liquefied or
compressed or natural gas at 202 thousand tons (+10.1%, +284.3% and
+233.6%) and the traffic of chemical products to 138 thousand tons
(-34.0%, -8.5% and -20.1%).

- In the solid bulk sector, they were handled
total 200 thousand tons of cargoes (-40.7%, -10.6% and
-20.1%), of which 139 thousand tons of minerals and materials from
construction (+0.7%, -22.8% and -21.7%), 23 thousand tons of products
metallurgical (-27.4%, +80.6% and -36.9%) and 38 thousand tons of other
dry bulk (-71.0%, +64.5% and +178.2%). Coal trade
is zero compared to 38 thousand tons handled in the first
three months of 2021.
