 The Port System Authority of the Tyrrhenian Seas
Meridionale e Ionio has inaugurated its headquarters in Vibo Marina, the
whose port of call falls within the jurisdiction of the entity so
such as the ports of Gioia Tauro, Crotone, Corigliano Calabro and Palmi. In
occasion of the inauguration the president of the AdSP, Andrea
Agostinelli, highlighted that "after the entrance of the port
vibonese among the airports of competence, the institution has immediately planned
the relaunch of the infrastructure so that it could be at
service of commercial and industrial activities but also
yachting and cruising». This starts from the work
rehabilitation and consolidation of the port docks Pula,
Tripoli, Papandrea and Buccarelli planned by the institution for
ensure, in the first place, the safety of the docks
ports and, thus, the restoration of capacity
operational of the entire infrastructure. It is - he specified
Agostinelli - of technical-functional interventions of value
total of 18 million euros, deriving from the Calabria Region
through the Cohesion and Development Fund, whose act of
regional transfer of funds management to the Authority of
Port System. Specifically, the work aims to solve the
problem of undertow, adapting the spaces of the docks,
restore the depth of the port seabed to nine meters,
consolidate the existing piers and equip the port with a pier to
also allocate to the docking of mega yachts and cruise ships.
