Freight traffic in the port of Rotterdam fell by -8.1% in the third quarter
Containers amounted to 3.7 million teu (+0.1%)

In the third quarter of this year, containerised traffic slightly up, having been 37.7 million euros tonnes (+0.4%) and it was made with a handling of containers equal to 3.7 million teu (+0.1%). The other miscellaneous goods totalled 7.8 million tonnes (-1.6%), of which 6.2 million tonnes of rolling stock (-15.5%) and 1.6 million tonnes of conventional goods (-1.6%). The total solid bulk was 14.7 million tonnes (-17.3%), including 4.9 million tonnes of minerals and scrap (-40.6%), 3.4 million tonnes of coal (-19.7%), 3.0 million tonnes tonnes of agricultural bulk (+28.7%) and 3.3 million tonnes of other dry bulk (+15.9%). Liquid bulk is amounted to 43.2 million tonnes (-12.4%), of which 20.9 million tonnes million tonnes of crude oil (-16.1%), 13.0 million tonnes of crude oil tonnes of petroleum products (-10.7%), 1.6 million tonnes of oil products tonnes of liquefied natural gas (-31.4%) and 8.0 million tonnes of other liquid loads (+0.2%).
In the first nine months of this year, the Dutch port increased by a total of 322.3 million tonnes, with a decrease in -8.8% over the same period of 2019, of which 219.8 million tonnes of goods on landing (-10.6%) and 102.5 million tons of cargo on boarding (-4.7%). Traffic only amounted to 10.7 million teu (-4.7%).
