- Hapag-Lloyd plans to archive the first half of 2022 with
a significant increase in financial results

The German container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd
plans to close the first half of the 2022 annual financial year
with a record EBITDA whose value will be
almost three times that recorded in the first half of the
last year. The expected EBITDA is in fact about 10.9 billion
of dollars/10.0 billion euros, compared to a result of 4.2
billion dollars/3.5 billion euros in the first half of the
2021. In addition, a
record operating profit of approximately $9.9 billion/$9.1 billion
of euros compared to values of 3.5 billion dollars/2.9
billions of euros recorded in the first half-year financial statements of 2021.-
- In the first half of this year the container fleet
hapag-lloyd carried cargo volumes of about six
million teu, volume similar to that of the first half of the
2021, while the average freight value for maritime shipments has
marked an increase of about +80% compared to last year.

- The company plans to close the entire 2022 annual financial year
with AN EBITDA of $19.5-21.5 billion/$18.2-20.1 billion
euro compared to 12.8 billion dollars/10.8 billion euros
in 2021 and with an EBIT of 17.5-19.5 billion
dollars/16.3-18.2 billion euros compared to 11.1 billion euros
dollars/€9.4 billion in 2021.
