
 Thanks to the intervention of the Combined Maritime Force TF 151, the international anti-piracy naval force, the oil tanker 
Central Park  seized yesterday in the Gulf of Aden has been released (

November 27  2023). US Central Command (Centcom) said on Wednesday the destroyer was the first U.S. Central Command. 
USS Mason  together with the allied ships of the task force 151 and its aircraft responded to the distress call coming from the ship that was under attack from an unknown naval unit. On arrival, anti-piracy coalition units demanded the release of the ship, which was demanded as a result of which five armed people were barred from the tanker and attempted to flee aboard their small boat that is being pursued by the 
Mason  which forced the surrender of the attackers. Centcom has specified that the crew of the 
Central Park  is safe.
   
   
    
   
   
    In addition, the Centcom said that at 1.41 this morning, now in Sanaa, two ballistic missiles were launched from areas in Yemen controlled by the Houthis to the USS Mason  and the Central Park . The missiles were inhabited in the Gulf of Aden about ten nautical miles from the tanker and the destroyer that was concluding the intervention in response to the distress call.
