The Council of Ministers today approved and presented new
measures to address the difficulties of the sector
of road transport which, on the fuel front, provide for the
allocation of an additional 45.2 million euros for credit
tax on diesel fuel, intended for expenses incurred from March to
August 2026. The new resources - specified the Ministry of
Infrastructure and Transport - in addition to the 21.2 million already
provided for by the decree on stamp duty and are supplemented with a further 60
million for expenses from September 1 to October 5. È
There is also the possibility of suspending until 31 March
2027 the leasing payments of vehicles expiring between November 2026 and
March 2027, to ease the financial pressure on businesses.
In addition, the fuel surcharge clause is strengthened, in particular
particular for verbal contracts with the indication on the invoice
impact of diesel on the regulatory level, and is included in the
a rule to distinguish transport contracts from those of
contract and to implement the consignment note in 2027
electronics.
The national associations of the Road Transport Register have expressed
Appreciation for the immediate approval of the urgent decree-law
by the Government, which - they noted - contains the measures of
economic and regulatory nature announced by Minister Salvini
during the meeting held in the Prefecture in Milan just 2 days
ago. "It is the demonstration - say the associations -
that the malaise and discomfort of an entire category had
need immediate answers for corporate liquidity, a
starting from the need to unlock the payments of all
resources already allocated after the agreement of Palazzo Chigi on 22
May, further allocations for tax credits for
purchases of diesel and the strengthening of the adjustment mechanism
automatic cost of diesel fuel for transportation performance.
We thank Prime Minister Meloni and Deputy Prime Minister Salvini for having
understood the urgency of the moment and we hope that the dialogue will continue
with the national federations of road hauliers already
starting from the meeting of the permanent table of road transport and
logistics to be held on Tuesday 27 October".
