
The German container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd
raises its estimates for 2026 again thanks to persistent solidity
demand for maritime transport and the positive trend in
spot freight rates. The company now expects a
EBITDA between $3.9 billion and $4.4 billion compared to
previous forecast of $2.7-3.7 billion, therefore with a
raising of both the lower and upper limits of the
previous range. EBIT forecasts were also
significantly increased: the company now indicates a
range of $1.25-1.75 billion, versus the previous
forecast of 0.1-1.1 billion.
Hapag-Lloyd, however, points out that the forecast remains
characterised by a high degree of uncertainty. In particular, the
