A SHIPOWNER which withdrew its vessel when the charterer did not make advance payment could only recover the hire for the period that the ship was actually on hire. This meant the shipowner was unable to claim the contractual one-month advance payment and could only recover hire for the 10 hours during which the ship was actually under charter ......
