L'IRU s'insurge dans un communiqué de cette indécision et de la réduction probable des ecopoints, car "l'infrastructure ferroviaire autrichienne n'ayant pas été adaptée pour compenser la réduction du transport routier, le trafic sera détourné vers des itinéraires de transit alpins plus éloignés".
