  • Aker Maritime sells deepwater division and Canadian unit
    Coflexip Stena Offshore has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire Aker Maritime ASA's deepwater operations, headquartered in Houston, for $513 million plus the assumption of net debt estimated to amount to $112 million. The division includes the Aker Gulf Marine yard in Texas. Aker Maritime bought out a partner's 49% holding in the yard earlier this year for $86 million. Separately, Aker Maritime announced that its Maritime Hydraulics (MH) unit is selling its Canadian subsidiary Maritime Hydraulics (Canada) Ltd. which, despite the "maritime" in its name, actually designs and manufactures onshore drilling equipment.

    La compagnie aérienne néerlandaise KLM a réalisé au cours du premier semestre de 2000, qui s’est terminé le 30 septembre dernier, un résultat d’exploitation de 301 mio. d’EUR et un bénéfice net de 161 mio. d’EUR. Les prix de carburant ont fort contribué à la hausse des coûts et obligent KLM à augmenter les tarifs.
  • La première tranche d’actions Deutsche Post pourrait rapporter 7,4 mia. d’EUR
    La poste allemande a rendu public samedi dernier les modalités definitives de l’introduction en bourse d’une partie de ses actions. Il a été annoncé que l’IPO portera sur 278 mio. d’actions, soit 25% du capital. Si jamais la demande devait être trop importante, un paquet de 42,8 mio. d’actions supplémentaires serait également mis sur le marché, ce qui porterait ce pourcentage à 29%. La fourchette de prix est basse, estiment les analystes. Cela s’explique par les conditions actuelles sur le marché... et par le fait qu’il y a toujours la menace de sanctions de la part de la Commission européenne. Par ailleurs, Klaus Zumwinkel, le président de DP, a déclaré dans une interview qu’il espère que l’entreprise postale sera privatisée à 100% d’ici cinq ans.
