La raison est simple: ce trafic est en régression, en ce sens qu’il n’y a plus de croissance westbound tandis que pour les volumes eastbound il y a eu déclin en 2001 et la situaton ne s’améliore guère cette année. C’est dire que la surcapacité pèse sur les revenus des armements. D’où l’accord passé entre CP Ships, ses partenaires de Grand Alliance et le trio composé des armements Cosco, Yanming et K Line et qui se traduit par la création d”un “Atlantic Space Charter Agreement” et par le retrait d’un des deux services que le trio en question assure l’Atlantique.
