- In February growth in freight traffic in the port of
Naples, decline in Salerno
-
- Overall, the airports of the AdSP of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea
have enlivened 2,5 million tons of cargo (- 1.2%)
-
Last February the ports of Naples, Salerno and Castellammare of
Stabia administered by the Port System Authority of the Sea
Tirreno Centrale handled almost 2.5 million tons
of goods, with a decrease of -1.2% on February 2021.-
- In February 2022 the only port of call of the Campania capital
handled 1.35 million tons of cargo, with a
increase of +9.4% on February 2021 and a decrease of -1.8% on
February 2020 when the
effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on trade. In the
only sector of various goods traffic was 845 thousand
tons, with a growth of +7.6% on February 2021 and a decrease
of -5.5% on February 2020, of which 540 thousand tons of goods in
containers (respectively +11.2% and -3.3%) totaled with a
container handling pairs to 55 thousand teu (+16.4% and +4.9%) and
304 thousand tons of rolling stock (+1.7% and -9.2%). In the segment of
liquid bulk the total was 367 thousand tons
(+1.8% and -11.7%) and in that of dry bulk of 135 thousand
tons (+58.2% and +117.4%).

- Last February the port of Salerno handled 1.14
million tons of cargoes, with a decrease of -11.4% on the
February 2021 and a reduction of -0.1% on February 2020. In the only
containerized goods sector, the figure was
359 thousand tons (-20.7% and -16.0%) and was obtained with
a container handling pairs to 28 thousand teu (-20.2% and -18.1%).
The rolling stock is piled to 637 thousand tons (-12.9% and -9.8%) and the
dry bulk at 15 thousand tons (-56.5% and +38.2%).

- Last February the traffic of cruises in the port of
Naples has been of less than 5 thousand passengers, down by -7.0%
on February 2021, while no white ships landed in Salerno
as happened in February 2021. In the port of the capital
campania passenger traffic of regular maritime services has
instead marked a recovery of +44.3% having been of 186 thousand
units, while in Salerno it decreased by -1.7% being
less than 12 thousand passengers passed.
