- In the first quarter the traffic of goods in the port of
Naples increased by +11.6%, while in Salerno it is
decreased by -12.5%

- Recovery in the passenger sector

In the first quarter of this year the ports of Naples, Salerno and
Castellammare di Stabia administered by the System Authority
Port of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea have enlivened 7.9 million
tons of goods, with a decrease of -0.5% on the same period of the
2021.-
- The slight decline was due to the decline in
-12.5% of the goods handled by the port of Salerno alone which are
amounted to 3.5 million tonnes compared with 4.0 million tonnes in
first three months of last year. The only goods at disembarkation are
were equal to 1.9 million tons (- 5.3%) and those to the landing
to 1.6 million tons (-19.8%). If in the bulk sector
solid the total enlivened has recorded an increase of +6.1%
having been equal to 84 thousand tons, in the goods sector
various traffic has decreased overall of -12.9% to
3.4 million tonnes, of which 2.0 million tonnes of
rolling stock (-11.5%), 1.1 million tons of goods
containerized (-15.3%) totalized with a handling of
container pairs to 91 thousand teu (- 12.9%) and 301 thousand tons of others
loads (-12.7%).

- In the port of Naples, on the other hand, traffic has marked a growth
of +11.6% having attested to over 4.4 million tons.
In the segment of various goods were handled globally
almost 2.7 million tons (+7.2%), including less than 1.7 million
of tons of cargo in container (+4.9%) made with a
handling of containers equal to 168 thousand teu (+6.8%) and 1.0
million tons of ro-ro cargoes (+11.2%). The volume
total liquid bulk was almost 1.4
million tons (+14.9%), of which 976 thousand tons of
refined petroleum products (+17.1%), 324 thousand tons of
oil gaseous, liquefied or compressed petroleum products and natural gas
(+13.1%) and 61 thousand tons of other liquid bulk (-5.6%). In the
dry bulk sector the total was 405 thousand
tons (+34.8%), of which 200 thousand tons of products
metallurgical (+43.3%), 79 thousand tons of cereals (+24.3%) and
125 thousand tons of other solid bulk (+29.3%).

- In the passenger sector, the port of Naples has archived the
first quarter of 2022 with 612 thousand passengers of the services
liners (+79.7%) and with 26 thousand cruise passengers (+115.6%),
while in the port of Salerno the passengers of the regular services are
were 18 thousand (+2.2%) and cruise passengers 4 thousand, traffic that last year
year was stopped due to the pandemic.
