- HMM Announces Five-Year Value Investment Plan
of about $11.5 billion

- The growth of fleets for the transport of
containers and bulk and investments in terminals, logistics
and in the environmental and technological sectors. Planned a
diversification of activities

Shipping company HMM today announced a plan
five-year investments worth a total of about 17,000
billion won ($11.5 billion) to boost
considerably the size of its fleet of ships
container carriers and containers of bulk vessels, and
to proceed with a vertical integration with investments also in
terminals and logistics facilities.-
- In particular, in the period 2022-2026 the company plans to
include in your fleet of full container units
a further 26 ships, raising their size from the current 29
container carrier to 55, correspondingly increasing the capacity
of hold from 820 thousand teu to 1.2 million teu. As for the segment
of bulk, HMM plans to increase its fleet to 55 ships,
with a growth of +90% compared to the current 29 units
Naval.

- The plan also includes an environmental strategy, with the aim of
reduce the impact of the fleet on the environment also through
future orders for ships using fuels
alternatives as well as investing in the research and development of
zero-emission fuels in collaboration with partners
industrial, and a digital strategy to exploit opportunities
in the commercial and organizational field allowed by the new
Technologies. In the latter sector, investments are also planned
equal to 150 billion won to improve the electronic platform
on-line of the company and to accelerate the updates of the
management software.

- One third of the value of the investments planned for the five-year period,
in addition, they will be allocated to the implementation of strategic projects
aimed at diversifying the activities of the South Korean company.
