If the economic results were at record values, do not the same was true for the volumes of loads containerized transported by the fleet of the German company that in the second quarter of 2022 they were yes high, having been equal to 3.02 million teu, but just below (-0.2%) to those transported in the corresponding period of last year year. Volume of loads that from the last quarter of 2020 results follow a slightly downward trend in the face of a contemporary sharp increase in transport tariffs. In the period April-June this year's volumes of goods in containers have been growing only those transported by transatlantic services (563 thousand teu, +5.8%) and services with Africa (166 thousand teu, +38.3%), with these the last who also benefited from the effects of the acquisition of the company Deutsche Afrika-Linien (

Still amazing, however, the concomitant increase in value of freight. Globally in the second quarter of this year the value average sea freight rates were equal to 3,935 dollars/teu (+71.2%). The highest average freight is result for transpacific services (4,001 dollars/teu, +77.3%), followed by those related to services with the Far East (3,242 dollars/teu, +53.1%), transatlantic services (2,893 dollars/teu, +83.3%), services with Latin America (2,710 dollars/teu, +84.0%), to those with Africa (2,559 dollars/teu, +48.3%), those with the Middle East (2,357 dollars/teu, +74.3%) and intra-Asian services ($1,939/teu, +71.4%).
