
IMAD Holding Company PJSC, Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, has
submitted an offer to acquire the entire share capital of the
port, maritime and logistics group AD Ports, of which it owns
already a share of 75.42% of the total. The acquisition
would take place through the wholly-owned subsidiary
Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Co.
The offer is based on a price of 6.25 dirhams per
each share, which represents a 23% premium to
at the last closing price of 5.10 dirhams on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange
where the shares of AD Ports are listed, valuing the company
31.8 billion dirhams ($8.7 billion).
Currently, the port network of AD Ports consists of
mainly from 34 terminals operated by Abu Dhabi Ports, which operates
ports and terminals in the United Arab Emirates, and Noatum Ports, which
oversees the Group's international terminal portfolio.
