On June 8 from 9.00 to 13.00 in Trieste, a conference will be held on the theme " Green and intelligent Ports in the Adriatic-Ionian region. The contribution of the European territorial cooperation between Italy, Croatia and Slovenia " which is proposed by the Port System Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea and the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia and is included in the activities planned by the Facility Point Strategic Project of EUSAIR, the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-ionic Region, for the 2022 Work Plan of Pilastro 2, Transport Section. By collecting the results obtained through these projects it aims to create an institutional platform for long-term cooperation concerning decarbonisation and digitalization of port activities between the two sides of the Adriatic within the EUSAIR area.
The June 8 event will be in hybrid format with the possibility to participate in the presence at the MIB-Trieste School of Management, Largo Caduti in Nassiriya, 1, Trieste. In recent years, the ports of Croatia, Slovenia and Italy have collaborated to improve their decarbonisation and digitalization capabilities through EU-funded projects : CLEAN BERTH-" Cross-border Institutional Cooperation for the environmental sustainability and energy efficiency of ports "(Interreg Italy-Slovenia), SUSPORT-" SUStainable PORTs ", PROMARES-" Promotion of the maritime and multimodal transport of goods in the Adriatic Sea "and DIGSEA-" Digitalization of transport multimodal in the Adriatic Sea " (Interreg Italy-Croatia).
