- In April the traffic of goods in the port of Genoa is
increased by +5.9% and in that of Savona-Vado fell by
-0,9%
-
- In the first quarter of 2022 recorded increases
+8.1% and +19.8% respectively

Last month the ports of Genoa and Savona-Vado Ligure have
handled a total of 5.56 million tons of goods,
with an increase of +4.3% on April 2021.-
- The port of the Ligurian capital alone handled 4.32 million
of tons of cargoes, a volume that represents an increase in
+5.9% on April 2021, a sustained growth of +43.9%
on April 2020, when the airport had accused what perhaps is
was the most pronounced negative impact on one's own
activity caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and a decline
by -7.1% on April 2019 when the health crisis was still
there to come. In the field of miscellaneous goods only, cargoes
containerized amounted to 2.08 million tons, with
increases of +0.4% on April 2021 and +18.6% on April 2020 and
with a decrease of -3.6% on April 2019, volume that is
was built with a container handling of 223 thousand
teu (respectively -3.1%, +26.5% and -0.4%), while goods
conventional stood at 767 thousand tons (-0.6%, +73.4%
and -1.0%). In the liquid bulk sector, the total figure is
state of 1.23 million tons (+17.7%, +117.8% and -14.5%), of
to which 1.14 million tons of mineral oils (+14.6%, +121.6% and
-16.8%), 52 thousand tons of chemical products (+81.7%, +54.1% and
+34.3%) and 40 thousand tons of vegetable oils and wine (+68.7%, +128.7%
and +24.4%). Solid bulk of the commercial segment of the port are
were equal to 35 thousand tons (+144.9%, -24.6% and +24.7%) and those
of the industrial segment at 140 thousand tons (+11.7%, +11.3% and
-18,8%).

- In April 2022 the cruise passengers in the port of Genoa were
76 thousand (+935.9%, +4,995.8% and -47.2%) and ferry passengers
71 thousand (+159.4%, +1,807.3% and -21.2%).

- Last month the port of Savona-Vado Ligure, also
administered by the Ligurian Sea Port System Authority
Western, it has globally enlivened 1.24 million tons
of goods (-0.9%, +21.7% and +1.3%), of which 323 thousand tons of goods
conventional (-4.2%, +49.5% and -19.3%), 247 thousand tons of goods
in containers (+13.8%, +47.2% and +398.8%) made with a
handling of 21 thousand teu (+15.2%, +31.8% and +351.5%), 502 thousand
tons of liquid bulk (+2.1%, -1.4% and +10.1%) and 161 thousand
tons of dry bulk (-18.7%, +30.3% and -49.0%). In Savona the
passenger traffic, which was stopped both in April 2021 and at
April 2020 due to the pandemic, last month totaled
28 thousand cruise passengers and 11 thousand ferry passengers, with reductions
respectively of -62.2% and -1.2% on the corresponding data
of April 2019.

- In the first quarter of 2022 the two Ligurian ports have
handled a total of 22.13 million tons of goods,
with an increase of +10.5% on the first four months of last year,
of which 17.25 million tons handled by the port of Genoa
(+8.1%) and 4,88 million tons from the port of Savona-Vado
(+19,8%).
