- Signature in Rome of the European maritime clusters of the MED project

Yesterday in Rome. at the headquarters of the Federation of the Sea, is
the project has been signed by the European maritime clusters partners
Mediterranean Blue Accelerator Network - MED BAN which, selected and
co-financed by the European Commission, it aims to promote a
new industrial strategy for Europe towards an economic model
increasingly sustainable and digital. The aim of the project is
improve the competitiveness of the European SME ecosystem
linked to the economy of the sea with an action coordinated by the clusters of
sector aimed at identifying and implementing a qualified
technical consultancy activities on specific issues
innovative with the aim of developing a strategic partnership
( Eurocluster) in the long term that it can offer to companies
consulting and technical support services more and more
oriented towards the green and digital transition.-
- The main objective of Medban is to launch the
six constituent elements that will be the basis of a platform of
dynamic acceleration services, based on blue clusters, for
catalyse coastal regions and Mediterranean ports to
function as an open and innovative ecosystem in a network of hubs
of the blue economy, based on smart and green infrastructure, in
close connection with the countries of the North and South of the Mediterranean,
thus diversifying their business model, creation
employment, economic development and sources of income.

- The project brings together the maritime clusters of France (Pôle
Mer Méditerranée), Greece (Strategic ITC Cluster),
Italy (Cluster Big and Federation of the Sea), Portugal (Forum
Oceano) and Spain (Cluster Marítimo de las Illes Balears).
