The Swiss ABB and Oceanly, which is owned by the
ESA Group and the Swiss MSC Cruises, have activated a
collaboration to integrate and optimize performance and
operations by offering ABB optimization capabilities
navigation and routes within the platform
Oceanly Performance. The collaboration combines the skills of
Oceanly on the high-frequency collection of data from
performance and emissions monitoring and data analysis
data, with ABB's extensive capabilities in marine technologies,
in navigation optimization, automation,
in electrification and solutions for the management of the cycle of
life.
The initial focus will be on the integration of
ABB navigation and navigation optimisation functionalities
directly into the Oceanly Performance platform, to
Enable ship operators to combine optimization
Advanced navigation with performance monitoring
operational data and performance analyses,
all in a single integrated environment. An additional area of
collaboration involves linking ABB's technologies to
energy efficiency on board with Oceanly's capabilities
in the analysis of naval data, to identify opportunities for
efficiency improvement and to analyse the impact of
measures taken.
