C’est ce qu’a déclaré tout récemment Tung-Chee-chen, président de la Chambre de Commerce de Hong-Kong et président de la compagnie maritime Orient Overseas International. Il faisait ainsi allusion à une étude effectuée par la banque d’investissement américaine sur les perspectives de développement du commerce extérieur de la Chine, ses exportations devant augmenter de 700 mio. de tonnes au cours de cette période, jusqu’en 2005.
