There has been both good and bad news over the privatisation of Malta Shipyards. The good news is that as regards the sale of two of the four units up for privatisation, the shipbuilding facility and the Manoel Island yacht yard, two preferred bidders have been chosen, Valletta Gateway Terminals and Manoel Island Yacht Yard Consortium. The bad news is that the bids made for the ship-repair yard have not matched the government's expectations ......
