New technological infrastructure in order to manage the flow of truck between interporto and the port of Trieste



To Trieste the start of an executive project for the traceability of the trucks between the city port and the interporto of realized Fernetti with the employment of beyond 27 kilometers of optical fiber, 24 television cameras for the survey of the plates is introduced and the acknowledgment of the vehicles and 33 television cameras of long context highway connection RA14 and RA13 and 202 highway "Triestine". The initiative has the scope to avoid the creation of tails and to facilitate the times of boarding of the goods.

The project of Smart road, said also "Meduri Corridor" in memory of Giuseppe Meduri of the General Society of Computer science (Sogei), one of first having contributed to the start of the project, is yields of the collaboration between Anas (group FS Italian) and the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Orientale. The project previews a total investment of about 2,7 million euros and will be realized through agreement picture with a time previewed of about 10 months.

In particular, the project with the realization of the virtual corridor Smart, constituted from systems which intelligent television cameras for the reading of the plates and sensors for the dynamic weighing of the vehicles, will afford to characterize the means that can have carried out a pause or a shunting line for eventual refuel/defuel non-authorized of goods, through the calculation of mean time necessary to cover the way. Moreover a system of television cameras, equipped of software, will signal eventual tails on the which monitored feature and will control the traffic to the aims of safety of the circulation. The system could, therefore, be used also for regulating the flow of traffic in income to the port of Trieste (about 700 vehicles to the day).

The data supplied from the realized technological infrastructure from Anas in collaboration with the AdSP of Mare Adriatico Orientale will be integrated with those found from the infrastructure and will be used by the same Authority in order to allow the authorization with the boarding facilitated for that Tir online with the which monitored parameters, without having to be newly subordinates to customs inspections and, therefore, with remarkable saving of times for the harbour and customs activities. In the hypothesis in which the vehicle it did not have to turn out online with the parameters of ‘departure’ could be newly subordinate to customs inspections.
