Initially Maersk Air Cargo will operate a fleet of five aircraft consisting of two new B777F and three B767-300 in Leasing. In addition, three will also be used on the US-China routes. new B767-300 operated by an operator who is not part of the group Danish. The new aircraft will be placed in service between the second semester of this year, when Maersk Air Cargo will become fully operational, and 2024.
Maersk has announced that its goal is to transport with Maersk Air Cargo about a third of its own shipments made annually by air, and this will be made with both owned and rented aircraft.
