The day after tomorrow in Rome, in the presence of the Minister of
Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility, Enrico
Giovannini, and Admiral Nicola Carlone, commander of the Corps
of the Port Authorities - Coast Guard, the Association
Italiana Port & Terminal Operators (Assiterminal) will celebrate
their twenty-first birthday after the goal of the
twenty years of associative activity has been achieved and
overcome during the Covid-19 pandemic. At the event will be
also present numerous parliamentarians, the board of Confindustria,
Confetra, Federazione del Mare, Assoporti, together with the secretaries of
Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl and Uiltrasporti, managers of MIMS and others
dicasteries and many presidents of Port System Authorities.-
- The anniversary will be celebrated at the headquarters of Confetra
where the assembly of the associates of
Assiterminal called to approve the budget and to take stock of
many issues, starting with the Concessions Regulation,
the implementation of the PNRR, the impacts of the Ukrainian conflict on the
port traffic, to get to the themes of cruises,
safety at work and competition.

- Assiterminal was established on 31 January 2001 in
Genoa on the initiative of 12 terminal operators "members"
constituents", number of adherents rose to 27 already in the
December of the same year. 2022 sees the association
represent 81 port companies, terminal operators and stations
maritime, present in all Italian port systems. The companies
of the association employ about 4,000 people, move more
of 60% of containers passing through Italian gateway ports, 65%
of total freight tons, 90% of traffic
cruise by turnover of the total value close to the
billion euros and for an economic value of more than 150 billion
of euros.
