    Le constructeur canadien de poids lourds Western Star et le groupe allemand MAN ont annoncé un accord de principe sur la vente du constructeur britannique ERF. Dans un accord séparé, il a été conclu que Western Star achètera les activités de MAN en Australie. Cette opération permet au constructeur allemand de doubler sa pénétration en Grande-Bretagne et de la porter à 16%. Cette acquisition intervient quelques jours à peine après le rachat de la totalité des actions du constructeur polonais Star.
