    IN what is proving to be a test case for not only container market conditions but also the pricing power of the lines in Asia, the majority of the lines on the Taiwan-South China route have unilaterally announced a 400 yuan per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) emergency bunker surcharge on consignees in Hong Kong and South China.
