Last year, passengers carried by maritime services to Corsica and Sardinia Corsica Sardinia Ferries of the company rose by 4.1% to 3,718,250 units from 3,571,192 in 2009. The vehicles carried increased by 4.1% to 1,327,093 units.
In particular, in 2010 passengers for Corsica were 2,778,320 (+4.0%) and those for Sardinia 939,930 (+4.6%). The cars were transported, respectively, 986,303 (+4.2%) and 340,790 (+3.7%). The transport of goods totaled 926,267 linear feet (+15.2%).
Pointing out that last year the company has maintained its leadership on Corsica, with a market share equal to 62.98% (+0.7% compared to 2009), the managing director for Italy Corsica Sardinia Ferries, Euan Lonmon, explained that "the results have rewarded the company's strategy, which has favored a structured diversification rates, particularly directed to the off-season tourism."
Corsica Sardinia Ferries has announced that the provisional figure of the turnover realized on the 2010 lines to Corsica and Sardinia amounted to 198 million euro.
