- In the first quarter of this year the traffic in the port of
Algeciras increased by +7.5%

- Containerized cargoes decreased by -6.1%

 In the first quarter of 2022 the port of Algeciras has
handled 26.9 million tons of goods, with an increase
+7.5% on the first three months of last year. In the main
segment of activity of the Spanish port of call, that of the
container, the traffic has recorded a decrease of the -6,1% being
amounted to 13.6 million tons, volume that was
made with a handling of containers equal to 1.16 million
of teu (+1.4%). On the other hand, traffic flows are growing strongly
in the other product segments, with conventional loads that
totaled 4.0 million tons (+34.6%), bulk
liquid 6,9 million tons (+11.5%) and solid bulk
549 thousand tons (+220.7%).
