- Global Ports Holding will operate three more terminals
cruises in the Canary Islands

- They will be built in the ports of Arrecife and Puerto del Rosario

After having obtained in recent days the green light to the
construction and management of a new cruise terminal in the port of
Las Palmas, whose construction will begin later this summer
(
of 11
July 2022), the Global Ports Canary Islands (GPCI), which is
owned by Turkey's Global Ports Holding (GPH) and Spain's
Sepcan, had from the board of directors of the Authority
Port of Las Palmas approval to obtain a concession
three other new cruise terminals in the airports of Arrecife and Puerto
of the Rosary.-
- The resolution envisages assigning to GPCI an area of 759 meters
quadi, including structures built for 426 square meters, al Muelle
de Los Mármoles in the port of Arrecife, on the island of
Lanzarote, as part of a project for the construction of the
cruise terminal that provides 10 months for the realization
of works and investments for over one million euros. In addition to
GPCI has been assigned an area of 1,882 square meters to the
Muelle de Cruceros de Naos in the port of Arrecife, where to make a
second terminal, as part of a 12-month project
and with a budget of almost 2.4 million euros. Finally, the advice of
Administration of the Port Authority granted to GCPI
an area of 1,319 square meters at the Muelle de Cruceros of the port of
Puerto del Rosario, on the island of Fuerteventura, to make a
cruise terminal as part of a ten-year project
months that involves an investment of one million euros.

- The Board of Directors also resolved to initiate
a tender for the installation of a cold ironing system at Muelle
Great of Las Palmas in order to supply the electricity of the
land network to cruise ships stopping in the port. The amount to
auction base is over 1.4 million euros.
