
In the first three months of 2026, for the tenth quarter
in the port of Bremen/Bremerhaven
increased to 16.6 million
tons, with a growth of +5.8% driven by the increase of +9.0%
of the volumes at landing, which amounted to 8.8 million tonnes,
while those at boarding marked a less marked increase
by +2.4% having totaled over 7.8 million tons.
In addition, the quarterly increase was also generated
from higher bulk volumes, which rose by +10.7% to 1.9 million
tonnes, of which 1.7 million tonnes of solid bulk
(+9.6%), including one million tonnes of minerals (+19.5%),
115 thousand tons of cereals and foodstuffs (-7.3%), 15 thousand
tons of coal (-6.3%) and 856 thousand tons of other bulk cargo
dry (+4.6%), and 322 thousand tons of liquid bulk (+16.7%).
In the container sector, traffic was 13.0 million
of tons (+4.9%) with a container handling of
1,245,515 TEUs (+4.4%). Other miscellaneous goods were over 1.6
million tons (+7.2%), of which 702 thousand tons of rolling stock
(+9.3%), 386 thousand tons of metal products (+25.7%), 79 thousand tons
tons of forest products (-31.9%) and 473 thousand tons of
other loads (+1.7%).
