The Tuscan Cooperation Development Fund (SCT Fund) invests in Uniport Livorno Società Cooperativa, operating in the port operations and integrated logistics in the port Livorno port area. This is the second investment made by the Fund, established by the Region and managed by SICI - Sviluppo Imprese Centro Italia SGR Spa. The investment amounts to 440 thousand euros and is part of a larger operation for a total of 880 thousand euros made together with the co-investor Coopfond which aims the strengthening of the cooperative's capital, the renewal of the fleet of industrial vehicles and to support the growth path company.

The president of Uniport, Jari De Filicaia, stressed that "this investment strengthens the Cooperative's capital and allows us to equip ourselves with state-of-the-art operational means, to improve operational performance and quality of work of our employees".

"The operation in favor of Uniport Livorno - commented the Regional Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Agriculture Leonardo Marras - confirms the validity of this tool and testifies to the attention of the Region towards a strategic sector such as logistics and ports, which are fundamental for the economic development of Tuscany and for the enhancement of the port of Livorno as an infrastructure of national importance and international. Accompanying growth paths such as that of Uniport means supporting investment, qualified employment and greater competitiveness for the entire production system in line with the development objectives that Tuscany has given itself for the next few years".
