The terminal group DP World has signed an agreement preliminary agreement with the Port Authority of Fujairah for construction of the Al Rugaylat container and multipurpose terminal and the Dibba general cargo terminal in the UAE port under a 50-year concession contract. The project provides for the container terminal to have a Annual containerized traffic capacity of 2.5 million of TEUs to which will be added 1.7 million tons of goods and rolling stock traffic of 190 thousand CEU, while for the Dibba terminal there is an annual capacity up to 3.6 million tons of miscellaneous goods.

The construction of the terminals will take place in phases that should last a total of between 24 and 30 months from the start of the works.
