
The Philippine terminal group International Container
Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), through the company
wholly owned subsidiary ICTSI Americas, has signed an agreement
with the Brazilian SIMPAR Group and its company
wholly owned subsidiary CS Brasil Holding and Locação,
to buy the entire share capital of HSIM Participações
and Holding, which is 63.27% and 63.27% owned respectively
36.73% by SIMPAR and CS Brasil, which in turn holds the integers
share capital of ATU12 Arrendatária Portuária and
of ATU18 Arrendatária Portuária, the two companies
holders of the port's ATU12 and ATU18 terminal concessions
Brazilian from Aratu, in the State of Bahia. The transaction will have
a total value of 1.8 billion reais (355 million reais)
dollars). The two terminals mainly handle products
agricultural waste.
