
After four quarters of decline, in the second quarter of 2026 the
revenues of the U.S. logistics group UPS grew having
totaled $22.8 billion, up +7.6% on the previous year.
same period last year, of which 14.9 billion generated
from express deliveries to the United States (+6.0%), 5.0 billion
from international express deliveries (+12.5%) and 2.9 billion from
other supply chain solutions (+7.8%). More pronounced
the increase in operating costs, which amounted to €21.9 billion
(+12.9%), an increase that was mainly due to the
by the growth in salaries and benefits (12.6 billion, +8.8%), but
also from the increase in the costs of purchasing transport services
(3.2 billion, +26.4%) and fuel (1.7 billion, +60.4%). The profit
recorded a decrease of -49.0% to 930
million dollars, a drop that was determined by the
-98.3% reduction in operating profit generated by deliveries
expressed in the USA which amounted to 16 million. The profit
amounted to $604 million (-52.9%). UPS has
specified that the results for the quarter include net charges
of $891 million in taxes mainly related to
the workforce reduction programme among the drivers of the
group in the USA that has been completed.
