"With Porti d'Italia Spa, the government is creating a bandwagon that it takes away from the territories resources and skills for the management of our ports: a company that could open up to private individuals to decide the governance of our airports". They denounced it Senator Antonio Misiani, economic manager of the Party Democratic, and the Dem deputy Valentina Ghio on the occasion of the presentation today in the Chamber of Deputies of 230 amendments of the Party Democratic to the reform of port governance proposed by the center-right.

"Our amendments - said Ghio and Misiani - they give back to the territories competences and resources, they provide indications to prevent the entry of private individuals into governance and propose tools to improve national coordination and competitiveness of our airports abroad. A measure on which not even the whole majority believes, given that Fratelli of Italy has tabled 120 amendments. We will fight in committee to try to substantially and radically change this reform".

"This reform - they added - does not bring any value added to our stopovers, but creates very serious pitfalls and dangers of the entire port system will pay the consequences for many years if it were to pass. The PD is opposed to a reform that risks paving the way for the privatization of Italian ports, downsizing the public role and that of the territories".
