La MOL sottoscrive accordi per spazi-containers nei traffici interasiatici

La MOL con sede a Tokyo ha stipulato alcuni accordi con la Heung-A Shipping e la OOCL nel contesto dell'espansione della propria rete di servizio interasiatica.

L'accordo con la Heung-A, la cui entrata in vigore è stata prevista per i primi di dicembre, copre i traffici con Corea del Sud, Asia, Singapore ed Indonesia. Esso fornisce alla MOL l'accesso al servizio settimanale KJX della Heung-A, che scala direttamente ad Incheon, Busan, Hong Kong, Singapore e Jakarta. Tre navi da 1.200 TEU vengono impiegate sul collegamento.

Hiroki Tsujii, direttore della programmazione strategica e della gestione delle disponibilità nell'ambito della divisione di linea del gruppo, ha dichiarato: "Il nostro accordo con la Heung-A fornirà ai clienti un servizio più rapido e maggiormente efficiente alla volta dell'Indonesia, nel contesto del quale Jakarta verrà servita in appena nove giorni. Rispetto al nostro precedente servizio di trasbordo alla volta dell'Indonesia, ci aspettiamo di migliorare l'affidabilità e di abbassare di molto i costi delle operazioni".

La MOL, peraltro, intende altresì sfruttare le opportunità di trasbordo e collegamento offerte a Singapore. Negli ultimi mesi, il vettore ha aggiunto nuovi collegamenti di raccordo nel Sud-Est asiatico e vorrebbe incanalare un numero maggiore di carichi attraverso la propria emergente rete logistica in questa regione.

Aggiunge Tsujii: "Il nostro nuovo servizio migliorerà la competitività dei nostri programmi dalla Corea del Sud all'India ed al Pakistan".

Spiega poi che la MOL starebbe per acquisire 50 TEU alla settimana sul servizio KJX della Haeung-A, ma solo nella direzione verso sud.

L'accordo con la OOCL, anche l'entrata in vigore del quale è prevista per i primi di dicembre, copre i traffici tra il Vietnam meridionale ed il Giappone. Il servizio settimanale, che scala a Città di Ho Chi Minh, Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka e Kobe, viene effettuato con quattro navi della gamma fra 1.200 e 1.500 TEU. La MOL acquisirà 60 TEU dal vettore con sede a Hong Kong su ciascuna partenza in direzione nord. L'assegnazione alla Hapag-Lloyd non dovrà subire conseguenze dall'accordo fra MOL ed OOCL, tanto è vero che il vettore tedesco continuerà ad effettuare operazioni con una delle quattro navi impiegate.

L'accordo non comporterà conseguenze nemmeno per il collegamento CBC della MOL, al quale essa apporta una sola nave da 1.032 TEU. Il servizio - che funziona in stretta collaborazione con la RCL e la SITC Lines - scala settimanalmente Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Shanghai, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang e ritorno a Nagoya.

L'accordo con la OOCL significa che la MOL sarà in grado di offrire ai propri clienti due partenze alla settimana nel corridoio di primaria importanza Città di Ho Chi Minh-Tokyo/Yokohama, così come un servizio ampliato alla volta del distretto di Kansai in Giappone.

Data la recente approvazione della richiesta del Vietnam di poter aderire all'Organizzazione Mondiale del Commercio, e poiché ci si aspetta che i traffici containerizzati nei due sensi aumentino, la decisione della MOL di estendere la propria presenza nel mercato appare tempestiva. Anche gli investitori giapponesi già da tempo sono ben radicati nel paese.

Tsujii ritiene che il mercato interasiatico continuerà a mostrare tassi di crescita sostenuti e desidera che la MOL rafforzi la propria posizione commerciale nell'ambito della regione.
