- Growth of traffic in the ports of Bari, Brindisi, Barletta,
Monopoli and Manfredonia

The Southern Adriatic Port System Authority
announced that in the first quarter of this year the ports of Bari,
Brindisi, Barletta, Monopoli and Manfredonia that fall within the
circumscription of the institution, have enlivened more than 4.6
million tons of goods, with an increase of +17% compared to
to the same period of 2021 and +25% compared to the first quarter
of the pre-pandemic year of 2019. The AdSP has specified that the
growth was driven by solid bulk (+30%),
followed by miscellaneous goods (+13%) and liquid bulk (+7%).-
- In the port of Bari alone the traffic has increased by +12%
on the first three months of 2021 and +22% on the same period of
2019. In the ferry sector, traffic was
120 thousand passengers (+41% on last year). Rise also for the
freight traffic enlivened by the port of Brindisi (+26% on
2021) and the volumes of loads in the
ports of Monopoli, Barletta and Manfredonia.
