In the second quarter of 2026 the revenues of the Finnish shipping company Finnlines were pairs to 235,5 million euros, value that represents a strong increment of +26.7% on the same period last year and the new historical record. To the increase has contributed the rise of the nicknames for the fuel, that the company has specified to be considerably increased from April.

In the entire first half of this year the revenues amounted to 412.4 million euros, value that represents an increment of +17.2% on the first half of 2025 and the second highest in absolute being only 414.4 million of the first half of 2006.

Commenting on the semi-annual performances, the president and managing director of Finnlines, Thomas Doepel, has found that "the first six months of the year were characterized by a structural volatility in the field of marine transport. The serious conflict in the Middle East, including the US and Israeli attack on Iran on 28 February 2026 and the subsequent closure of the Strait of Hormuz - he added - significantly increased energy costs and caused volatility in energy markets. The global energy crisis was not the only cost factor for intra-European trade. Starting from this year - it has remembered Doepel - the system of exchange of quotas of ETS emissions of the EU imposes to the ships to cover 100% of their emissions, increasing the environmental surcharges. Thanks to our long-term strategy of continuous investments in new and more energy efficient ships - it has emphasized - we are less exposed to the increase of energy costs. In the current volatile energy context, our ability to use a wide range of energy sources, together with the mechanisms of transfer of energy surcharges, provides us with the necessary resilience. Together with the continuous optimization of services, capacity and network of routes, this has contributed to guarantee a satisfactory result".

The first half of 2026, in fact, has been archived with a marked increase of the values of EBITDA, EBIT and the net profit that have been attested respective to 101,1 million (+19.6%), 55,8 million (+39.6%) and 50,4 million euros (+38.7%). In the single quarter these values were 68.3 million, 45.5 million and 42.9 million, with rise of +33,4%, +58.3% and +64.7% on the second quarter of 2025.

Relative to the volumes of traffic enlivened from the ships of the Finnish company of the group partenopeo Grimaldi, in the first six months of 2026 the fleet has transported 409 thousand trucks (+3%), 42 thousand cars not to the following of the passengers (+14%), 595 thousand tons of other goods (+2%) and 431 thousand passengers (-2%), while in the only according to trimester they are transported 213 thousand truck (+4%), 23 thousand cars (+21%), 23 thousand cars (+21%),
