Dubai-based terminal operator group DP World has signed an agreement with the US GXO Logistics to acquire six dedicated sites to contract logistics at the service of customers in the sector five in England and one in Northern Ireland, for a total of about 186 thousand square meters and two thousand employees. The transfer of the sites was one of the conditions on the part of the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for authorise the acquisition of the British Wincanton by GXO which was completed in April 2024.

With the transfer of these six sites, which will become As part of DP World's activities in September, the group Middle East further strengthens its presence in the UK which sees the London container terminals as flagships Gateway and DP World Southampton.
