The Brullo shipowner group gives a further acceleration
to the plan to renew and replace the fleet of its two
Augusta Due and Navalmed companies having finalized with the shipyard
Chinese Anhui Shipyard, part of Anhui Port & Shipping Group
Sealand Equipment Co. Ltd, the contract for the construction of three
40,800 deadweight tanker vessels. Fruit
of a project by the SDARI (Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and
Research Institute), adapted by the company's technicians to its
specific commercial needs, the ships are expected to be delivered
during 2029. The new units will feature
particularly low consumption and devices that will allow
to reduce environmental impact with technological solutions
innovative.
The order for the three new tankers follows by a few
weeks after taking delivery of the Hiera M tanker
Italian flag, built by the Chinese shipyard Zhousan Dashenzhou,
twin of a second unit ordered from the same shipyard
in December 2025 and scheduled for delivery in 2028.
Starting from 2025, the Roman shipping group, in addition to the
orders made official today to Hiera and to the one with delivery in
2028, in February 2025 it also acquired the Primo M of 18,500
tpl, in September 2025 the Ginostra M of 18,500 tpl and a
February 2026 the Alicudi M of 9,000 dwt. In addition, during the
of 2026 the group sold three units - the Rinella ships
M, Basiluzzo M and Panarea M - considered no longer
in line with the quality standards pursued. Overall
The Roman shipping group now has a fleet of 17 ships of
Italian flag.
