Le short sea n’échappe pas à ces nouvelles tendances comme en témoigne l’initiative que viennent d’entreprendre le groupe Seatrans et Nor-Cargo AS de Bergen, qui se traduit par la création d’une joint-venture sous le nom de Sea-Cargo AS. En d’autres mots, il s ‘agit d’une intégration de leurs activités en mer du Nord. Seatrans détient 60% de la nouvelle compagnie ainsi créée, contre 40% pour Nor-Cargo.
