- In the first quarter of this year the traffic of goods in the
port of Palermo grew by +3.0%
-
- The increase in volumes in the other airports is more accentuated
of western Sicily
-
 In the first three months of 2022 the port of Palermo has enlivened
1,81 million tons of goods, with a progression of +3.0%
on the corresponding period of last year which was
generated by the increase of +10.4% of the loads at the landing, piled up
to 1.10 million tonnes, which more than offset the
decrease of -6.8% of loading at boarding, attested to 704 thousand
Tons.-
- The total number of miscellaneous goods was 1.74 million
tons (+3.2%), of which 1,70 million tons of rolling stock
(+3.5%) and 34 thousand tons of goods in container (-10.7%). In the
liquid bulk sector were handled 56 thousand
tons of refined petroleum products (-17.2%) and in that
of solid bulk traffic was 11 thousand tons
(+622,6%).

- In the passenger segment ferries in the port of Palermo
have enlivened 178 thousand people (+50.8%) and cruise ships
46 thousand people (+530.4%).

- With regard to other ports managed by the
Port System of the Sea of Western Sicily, in the first
quarter of this year the port of Termini Imerese has enlivened
368 thousand tons of goods (+7.5%), the port of Porto Empedocle
212 thousand tons (+13.6%) and the port of Trapani 132 thousand tons
(+23,3%).
