- Finnlines performed in the second quarter
financial records

- Revenues grew by +36.2%

In the second quarter of this year the shipping company
Finnish Finnlines of the Italian shipowning group Grimaldi has
recorded record revenues amounting to 199.9 million euros,
with an increase of +36.2% on the corresponding period of 2021. A
new peak was also marked by operating costs
amounted to 158.9 million euros (+29.2%), as well as
EBITDA, operating profit and net profit equal
respectively to 62.1 million euros (+52.2%), 41.5 million euros
euro (+69.9%) and 41.2 million euro (+78.7%).-
- In the second quarter of this year traffic volumes
enlivened by the Finnlines fleet have been growing
relative to passengers, with a total of 169 thousand people
embarked on the company's ships compared to 127 thousand in the
corresponding period of 2021, while the volumes of
loading of goods with 194 thousand load units transported
(204 thousand in the second quarter of 2021), 367 thousand tons of
other goods (377 thousand) and 37 thousand cars not accompanying passengers
(46 thousand).

- Finnlines recalled that at the beginning of March, following the
sanctions imposed by the EU against Russia for the invasion of the
Ukrainian territory, the company's ships stopped doing
stopover at Russian ports, with a consequent loss of revenue that is
was offset by increased cargo volumes on other routes, and
since the resumption of passenger traffic that has reached levels
pre-pandemic.
