L'organizzazione di Confitarma


Erede di una tradizione associativa tra armatori e proprietari di navi che risale agli inizi del secolo, la Confitarma, Confederazione Italiana Armatori, si propone i seguenti scopi: promuovere lo sviluppo della marina mercantile italiana; rappresentare l'industria armatoriale di fronte alle autorità politiche ed amministrative ed a qualsiasi organismo pubblico e privato, sia sul piano nazionale che internazionale; stipulare accordi in ambito sindacale ed economico nonché contratti collettivi di lavoro; rappresentare e tutelare i soci in questioni sindacali ed economiche di interesse generale e particolare; provvedere informazione e consulenza agli associati.

Confitarma è direttamente rappresentata nel Consiglio Nazionale dell'Economia e del Lavoro (CNEL) e nell'Istituto di Previdenza per il Settore Marittimo (IPSEMA), aderisce alla Confederazione Generale dell'Industria Italiana (Confindustria), è tra le fondatrici della Federazione del Sistema Marittimo Italiano (Federazione del Mare), partecipa attivamente ad organismi nazionali ed internazionali quali: Istituto Nazionale per il Commercio Estero (ICE), Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), Council of European and Japanese Shipowners' Associations (CENSA), European Community Shipowners' Associations (ECSA), International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), International Shipping Federation (ISF), International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Giovani Armatori

Il gruppo Giovani Armatori si è costituito nel 1995, in attuazione dell'art.26 dello Statuto confederale, con i seguenti scopi associativi:

  • promuovere nei Giovani Armatori la consapevolezza della funzione etica e sociale della libera iniziativa e delle responsabilità che ne derivano;
  • approfondire i temi di maggior respiro strategico riguardanti l'industria armatoriale ed il sistema marittimo nel suo complesso;
  • contribuire ad un costante adeguamento della Confitarma al mutare delle condizioni economiche e sociali dell'industria armatoriale, nonché alla formazione di nuove leve per la conduzione delle attività associative.

Fanno parte del Gruppo circa cinquanta giovani armatori, figli di armatori e dirigenti armatoriali di età inferiore ai 38 anni, direttamente impegnati nelle realtà industriali rappresentate da Confitarma.

I Giovani Armatori sono coinvolti in modo attivo nella vita della Confederazione, attraverso la partecipazione del loro Presidente al Consiglio, quale membro di diritto, e la diffusa presenza nelle Commissioni permanenti, che concorrono allo sviluppo dei principali temi dell'industria armatoriale e del sistema marittimo.
